14mm wide intermediate field.

the SV are slowly disappearing and becoming more difficult to source.

Replacement Option:

Glass
ribbon style bifocals with base-in prism in the segments.
Replacement Option:
De-centering a FT35, 45 or executive segment to create a “base in” prism in
the near reading zone, how ever this only works if the distance Rx is
extremely low.

Discontinued Colors-Plastic
Full Spectrum:
A lens designed to transmit
the full spectrum of light, especially UV & near IR.
Replacement Option: Standard crown glass, it actually transmits more
of a “Full Spectrum” of light than any “Full Spectrum” lens ever made.

PLS:
A filtering amber colored
lens designed to filter out all UV & blue light up to 500nm.
Replacement Option: Blue blocking dyes can achieve similar color and
filtering. Many glass colors filter blue light but won’t match in color. CPF
lenses are excellent blue blockers and come in several colors. The 550 being
very close to the PLS color, and are photochromic. Most tint suppliers carry
these in one or more colors.

Splits:
Three Transitions lens colors

By adding a
tint to a photochromic gray or brown lens. You can create many different

Replacement Option: A pre-tinted gray
is still available from X-Cel and Carl Zeiss. Otherwise the NXT lenses come
in a variety of both fixed tint colors and photochromics.
Discontinued Colors-Glass
Thin & Dark Brown:
The brown, equivalent to the
Thin & Dark Gray by Corning.
Replacement Option:
Photo Brown Extra (PBX) in glass. In resin V.E., X-Cel Optical.
Photo Gray II:
The predecessor to PGX, was
darker indoors and outdoors than PGX and Thin & Dark Gray
Replacement Option:
No equivalent product available
Therminon & Unisol:
Light aqua colored glass that
offered reduced IR transmittance.
Replacement Option: No glass equivalent product available, achieve aqua
color by tinting or coating
Rose 3:
The darkest of the three rose
(pink) colors
Replacement Options: Tinted plastic Lenses
Photo Sun II Multi focal: A homochromatic gray color, which goes from 60% to 80% color density.
