Freedom Fashions Fit Progressive

Fashion Fit™ Features:
Recommended fitting height is 17mm. The corridor length is 15mm.
Fashion Fit wearers will experience a true difference. Although the corridor is short, they will have the comfort use of limited intermediate power. The near vision area is wider. Adaptation is quick and easy. There is less distortion above the 180° line and along the near vision corridor. The newest methods in progressive lens design are employed in the Freedom Fashion Fit progressive optics. Ray trace technology (vision simulation) permits the measurement, consideration, and control of more ophthalmic variables.
Perfect binocular vision enables patients to clearly perceive an object's depth and dimension. A soft design in every vision zone promotes easy adaptation to the new lens and frame. The use of aspheric technology produces optimum vision in all zones and the thinnest possible lens.
Frame fitting:
The Freedom Fashion Fit lens is especially designed for today's smaller, lighter, fashion frames. A minimum fitting height of 17mm is recommended. Fit the frame as close to the face as possible. Minimizing back-vertex distance will improve the field of vision at all ranges. Make the appropriate adjustments to the frame with the patient sitting straight and comfortable. Adjust for pantoscopic tilt of 9° to 12°.Pupil center (P.D.) measurement:
Vertical and horizontal pupil position should be measured separately for each eye (monocular measurements). A pupilometer is preferred for the most accurate measurement, then verify manually. If a pupilometer is not available, position yourself at the patient's eye level. Make sure the patient is looking directly into your eyes. Mark the pupil center on the demo lenses in the frame. Then place the demo lenses on the fashion-fit centration chart and note the monocular P.D.To ensure a good fit it is often helpful to have the patient remove and then replace the frame and demo lenses. Observe the patient's head position in different vision postures, e.g. standing, reading, ect. Then double-check the fit and measurements.
Check frame selection:
Make sure the lenses are large enough to cut-out to the frame size. After marking the pupil location on the demo lenses, place the frame over the centration chart, with the pupil mark positioned over the cross on the chart. Do this for both lenses, making sure the frame shape falls within the lens diameter.Lens verification & restoration of manufacturer's ink marks:
Apply the static-stick verification template. Use opposite sides of the template for right and left. The template cut-outs should be centered over the two lateral semi-visible hex-shaped markings on the lens. Mark the center with ink or felt tip pen, and identify right or left eye. Place the frame on the patient and verify that the fitting cross is aligned with the center of the pupil.Availability
